There are many things to look out for when buying molds. For someone starting out in the cultured marble industry there are a lot of things to consider before you commit to buying a mold. When I entered into the cultured marble industry through lack of knowledge I ended up with poor molds I hope that this guide will stop the same happening to you.
It is vital to have a straight mold with a good surface to produce cultured marble as your molds will reflect any defects onto the parts.
If the surface is not flat your parts will not be an even thickness all over because of the self levelling action of the matrix.
